JJ Harrigan is the author of the Goodbye Series of historical thrillers, inspired by his background as a soldier, U. S. Foreign Service Officer, and professor of political science. GOODBYE CUBA follows Isabel Fernandez and Charlie Parnell through the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. GOODBYE BOBBY follows Charlie and Isabel’s nine-year-old daughter Angie Fernandez through Robert F. Kennedy’s legendary 1968 presidential campaign and a plan to end the Vietnam War. GOODBYE VIRTUE follows Angie through the Iranian Hostage Crisis of 1979-81. She is the spouse of one of the U.S. diplomats kept hostage for 14 months.

JJ is a child of the industrial Midwest who received a bachelor’s degree at Loyola University, thanks to the GI Bill he earned from his days as a soldier. He received graduate degrees from The University of Chicago and Georgetown University.
